Feed in Tariff in Victoria - for FY 2019-20 the new single-rate minimum feed-in tariff is set at 12 cents per kilowatt hour (c/kWh), which is higher than the rate for 2018-19 (9.9 c/kWh). From 1 July 2019, customers on the time-varying tariff will receive an increased off-peak rate of 9.9 c/kWh, an increased shoulder rate of 11.6 c/kWh and a significantly reduced peak rate of 14.6 c/kWh compared with the respective 2018-19 rates. STC's - each new installation creates green energy, and is eligible for STC's. There are simple formulae to calculate how many STC's a system can create depending on location, size of the system and some compliance requirements. Please see page - STC's explained for further details.
Bureau of Meteorology has documented statistical data re annual hours of sunshine for each major town across Australia. This provides a good insight into how many hours of sunshine your system is likely to get each year.
Energy generated by each installation is affected by fair few factors, including its size, quality of products and installation, orientation (true north facing is ideal), angle of tilt, amount of sunshine the system gets, ambient temperature and wind speed. We consider these factors when designing the system to ensure you get maximum benefits from the system.
There is a recommended maximum capacity stipulated by each electricity distributor. We may have to seek pre-approval in some cases, depending upon the size of the system.
Post installation - there could be charges related to installing a bi-directional smart meter or for reconfiguring the smart meter.
